Sonya Paz has been selected to be the official Poster Artist for this event, creating original artwork titled “Racing for Music and Fun”. Platinum recording artists Train will headline the post-race concert at the Inaugural Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon San Jose. Held at the San Jose Convention Center.
Official Race Artist for the Inaugural 2006 San Jose Rock’n’Roll Half Marathon, Sonya Paz has created a unique and colorful original artwork titled, “Racing for Music and Fun”. This original piece will be awarded via a special raffle drawing with all proceeds to the official race charities. Artist Sonya Paz is creating a new direction in the Pop Art …movement through her exuberant use of color and playful forms.
Bold shapes and vibrant colors leap off her canvases, while her images explode in an energetic and wildly whimsical style. Sonya’s paintings and vivid images are a reflection of her California roots and her active lifestyle. Her positive, creative attitude and passionate expression represent an optimistic view of the world. Her works are inspired by the Cubist movement as well as from American Pop Art.
Seasoned by traveling the world to study art and its history. This original piece will be on display, and other original artworks will be available for sale at the Official Race Souvenir Store, at the Health & Fitness Expo at the San Jose Convention Center. Ms. Paz will be available to sign and personalize limited edition posters of this year’s Official artwork at the Elite Expo, Friday Oct. 6, 2006 and Saturday Oct. 7, 2006.
